Anxiety & overwhelm
When your mind and body keep staying alert, even when you would like to settle.

Clinical hypnotherapy · Northcote + online
You may not know how yet. You do not need to. We can begin with what you notice—and become curious about what else might be possible.
Hypnotherapy uses focused attention, imagination and conversation to explore patterns and new possibilities—while you remain aware and in control.
Even a pattern you no longer want may once have been trying to help. When it is met with curiosity instead of judgement, it can begin to loosen—and make room for another choice.
How I can help
Sleep. Speak. Pause. Choose. Trust yourself. Let go of an old habit. You can bring the loop; we can discover the way in together.
When your mind and body keep staying alert, even when you would like to settle.
When smoking, drinking, gambling, food or another pattern feels stronger than choice.
When fear, self-doubt or an old story keeps deciding what happens next.
When grief, trauma, anger or change needs steadiness rather than rushing.

Hypnotherapy, without the mystery
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention. Most people recognise something similar in daydreaming, becoming absorbed in music or a book, or doing a familiar task on autopilot.
In a session, you may feel relaxed or deeply focused—or you may not feel noticeably different. You remain able to speak, ask questions, pause or stop at any time.
The hypnotic state is generated by you, through your own mind and body. Rachel does not take control. Her calm voice, steady presence and therapeutic language offer pathways into focused attention, where images, associations and responses outside everyday awareness may have more room to emerge. There is no standard script: the work is shaped around you, your context, your strengths and what you would like to explore.
What happens when you come in
You do not need to prepare, perform or know exactly where to begin. Rachel offers a calm place to settle, notice and explore what may be useful at a pace that fits you.
We begin with what brings you here and what you would like to be different.
There is room for conversation, questions and whatever you are noticing.
Focused attention, imagination, metaphor and curiosity offer another way to explore what has felt stuck.
You may begin to notice your patterns, responses or choices from a different place.

Would a conversation help first? Meet Rachel, ask what you need to ask, and get a sense of whether working together feels right. It is a conversation only—hypnosis is not part of this appointment—and there is no pressure to continue.
